We have decided on some better guidance for handling shows that have crossed over.
1. Requested characters must have never been ongoing characters in the same show, even if it was at different times. For example Sara Lance is considered an ongoing character for both Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. Worf is considered an ongoing character for Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
2. In the case of canonical crossovers the requested characters must not have spent a significant amount of time interacting or in the same group. They can still be requested with characters that they didn't have significant interaction with. We consider significant interaction being an episode. We wouldn't allow Montgomery Scott/Geordi La Forge since they had an episode plot where they worked together, but we would allow Montgomery Scott/Lwaxanna Troi.
3. If the crossover is a quick cameo or about a scene we will allow it. For example, Quark appeared in the pilot of Star Trek: Voyager for one scene interacting with Tom Paris and Harry Kim. We would allow Quark to be paired with either.

We're officially announcing a delay in opening the collection. The collection will not open before 23:59 UTC on Tuesday 11 February.
Everyone who completed their assignment either on time or with an agreed extension must have a gift before gifts can be revealed!
If you're able to take one of the pinch hits, please comment on the appropriate post with your AO3 username and the number/name of the pinch hit you want to claim!
We'd like the pinch hits in by 23:59 UTC on Monday 10 February, but can be flexible if you can take one but might need a bit more time (let us know when claiming if that will be the case).
